For children who are self-isolating, we are providing ‘blended/remote learning’ which means that we will replicate the curriculum being taught in school online for pupils at home through our online portals – as far as possible.
The main portal is ‘Purple Mash’. All children have been taught how to access 2dos and hand them in and work has been set on Purple Mash for homework tasks throughout the Autumn Term and during the first lockdown so children should be very familiar with how to log in and access their online learning.
Other portals include: Reading Eggspress/Reading Eggs/Fast Phonics, TT Rockstars/Numbots, Active Learn, Spelling and Maths Shed. Again, these have been accessed regularly in school and have been part of homework activities, so your child should be familiar with these. All log-ins have already been sent home in the Autumn Term.
There are a couple of documents below to help support you; firstly the expectations of what work should be completed and secondly, a daily planner to help you and your child organise their day ensuring that their mental health and well-being is considered.
We are very mindful that this is an extremely stressful time for everyone and we will support you in supporting your child with their home learning. Should you have any problems accessing the online portals or any queries about this, please contact your child’s class teacher in the first instance. Your child can email their teacher through Purple Mash and they have been shown how to do this. Again, if they are unsure, please contact your child’s class teacher by telephone.
